The Royal Moroccan Cricket Federation is the national-level governing body of the sport of cricket in Morocco. The federation is responsible for the selection of the national cricket team and the operation of Moroccan leagues. At the time of writing, its headquarter is in Rabat, Morocco. The country joined ICC as an affiliate member in 1999, however, it’s journey so far has been a start-stop affair. It is also a member of the African Cricket Association and falls into the ICC Africa development region.
Cricket was first introduced to the country in 1991, long before the Royal Moroccan Cricket Federation joined the ICC.
Morocco also hosted a major 3-team cricket tournament involving Pakistan, South Africa, and Sri Lanka in the year 2002 in Tangier city.
