Mom is a commonly used slang/abbreviation to refer to Mother. A mother, who is a female parent of the child, is responsible for fulfilling the various needs of her kids starting from birth(and before). The relationship between a child and his/her mother can be biological or non-biological (adoptive).

This relationship is of the highest significance among humans and represents one of the most superior bonds between offsprings and their parents in all living beings.
