Full form of INC is Indian National Congress

Indian National Congress also known simply as Congress was founded on 28 December 1885 with Umesh Chandra Banerjee as the first party president. INC is one of the largest political parties of India and is headquartered at 24, Akbar Road, New Delhi-110001. Congress was the leading political party that played a highly significant role in India's freedom from British rule. Consequently, it became the largest political party in post-independence era of India and has ruled the country for a large number of 5 year terms since then. The ideology of congress is of social democracy and social liberalism.
