Full form of CDC is Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) is a US federal agency under Department of Health and Human Services. CDC was established on July 1, 1946 and is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.  The objective of CDC is to ensure health safety of people of America from different kinds of diseases and infections. CDC performs a large amount of research work on both infectious and non-infectious diseases (including diabetes and obesity). The agency is also engaged in providing educational services to improve overall health and awareness of citizens of United State of America.
